Uomo Vogue May/June 2012
In keeping with the launch of our new Fashion Advertising Division, we have been afforded the privilege to assist star photographer, Francesco Carrozzini and the L’Uomo Vogue team during their South African visit. Shooting for their Special May/June Edition on ‘Rebranding Africa’.

The first shoot, advertising the latest in luxury eyewear from Persol, Oakley Frogskin and Miu Miu, took place on the Penthouse terrace of the magnificent Seafive Boutique Hotel overlooking Camps Bay beach and the 12 Apostle Mountain Range.

The following day, from Johannesburg we were able to fly down the head of AFI (African Fashion International), Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe for this stunning double page feature article and shot. The shoot was set on the idyllic shores of Bakoven, just in front of a private beach bungalow.
Dr. Moloi’s mission echoes the sentiment of the May Special Edition of L’Uomo Vogue, ‘Rebranding Africa’. Following the continent’s economic and creative development, the Vogue team have travelled the continent photographing and interviewing influential personalities and have arrived at the conclusion that: “Rebranding Africa is important for the future of this continent and for the millions of young people that live in it.” (Franca Sozzani)

We are very proud to be associated with this project and look forward to many more collaborations.
A special thank you goes to the people that made this production possible: Marc Beresford and Bruno Zolezzi (Cool Banana Production & Casting), Marco Castoldi (Sea Five Boutique Hotel), Caroline and Hanneli.
