Mercedes Benz Fashion Week CT 2012
AFI is responsible for organizing and orchestrating Fashion Week events throughout Africa. These include Fashion Week Cape Town, Johannesburg and Africa. In 2012, Mercedes-Benz came aboard as primary sponsor for these events, highlighting the importance of creating new opportunities within the African fashion industry.

For this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town, AFI approached Pier2Pier to assist in designing most of the printed and online marketing materials. As such we designed Flags, Posters, Banner Walls, Step and Repeats, Newspaper advertisements, Web ads, Schedules, Accreditations, Pillar branding and Social Media profile images.

Cape Town Fashion Week 2012 also signified the 10th year of this event in the mother city. As such AFI wanted to create some kind of commemorative token to celebrate a decade of Fashion Weeks. For this purpose Pier2Pier designed a Moleskine type notebook with full-page images from iconic designers who have participated throughout the years and accompanying quotes. In this way, we not only provided a functional token, but one that will remind the user time and again of the Event in an elegant and typically AFI style.
